While on retreat in the summer of 2010, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche wrote a short practice text entitled Nectar of the Path. This elegant liturgy encapsulates the essential elements of Buddhist meditation practice. It includes verses on the four thoughts – the precious human life, impermanence, karma, and suffering – as well as on refuge, bodhichitta, guru yoga, and nature of mind meditation. Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche later gave teachings on this text at a Tergar Monastery in Bodhgaya, India. His instructions include a detailed commentary on the text itself, as well as teachings on the Three Vehicles of Tibetan Buddhism and practical advice on meditation practice.
