Movie Night - Cave in the Snow

Cave in the Snow is a documentary about the remarkable life of Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo. Born as Diane Perry in 1943 in London, she became a Buddhist at age 18, moved to India a couple of years later, and in 1964 was ordained as a Buddhist nun under the guidance of her root guru, Khamtrul Rinpoche. In 1976, she undertook a twelve-year solitary retreat in the remote mountains of Lahul. After ending her retreat, she opened  Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery in 2000, and since then has gone on to be one of the main supports for female monastics in the Tibetan tradition.
