Practice in Action - Join Us for a Group Service Project

Storm drains flow directly to local lakes, rivers, and wetlands, acting as a conduit for trash and organic pollutants. Join other Tergar community members on Saturday, Nov. 9th for an Adopt-a-Drain service project to clean storm drains and sidewalks near our Center. We will meet at 10:15, clear drains from 10:30 to noon, and gather at the Center from noon - 1 p.m to warm ourselves over soup and to debrief the experience. This will be a way to put our practice into action and connect with others in the community. Adopt-a-Drain asks residents to keep storm drains clear of leaves, trash, salt, and other debris to reduce water pollution. Learn more at www.adopt-a-drain.org. Some supplies will be provided. If possible, please bring: a broom, a rake, a trash grabber, gloves, a snow shovel or dustpan, and a pail or yard waste bag. Bright or reflective clothing is encouraged. Organized by the Tergar MSP Community Building Committee.
