Description

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 25, 2020.

Bleeding Heart, Herzerlstock, Blossom, Bloom, PinkOpening the Heart: Joy of Living 2 Mini Retreat with a Tergar Practice Leader

The teachings in The Joy of Living are really remarkable. I have listened to the teachings 30 or 40 times, but even so, every time I hear them there's something new there...a new understanding. So don't think 'Oh, I already watched those one time, I don't need to do it again.' You should actually receive those teachings again and again.

-Senior Tergar Lama Khenpo Kunga

Dig deeper into the Joy of Living 2 teachings in this half-day mini-retreat. The teachings that you have already received in Opening the Heart provide an introduction to the four immeasurables and hopefully have helped you establish a basis for daily practice. But there’s more. Deepen your experiential understanding of basic goodness, love and compassion, and transforming difficult emotions as you take a break from work or home routines to nourish yourself and rejuvenate your mind and practice. No matter how many times you have explored these teachings, the opportunity to discover more is always there.

Joy of Living mini–retreats offer more extensive instruction to those who have participated in Joy of Living meditation workshops and residential retreats. Each session includes video teachings by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche (featuring material that is not shown in Joy of Living meditation workshops), as well as guided meditations, group discussion, and walking meditation.

This event is offered to those who have previously attended Opening the Heart: Joy of Living 2, whether online or in person.

Registration is not required, but appreciated for planning purposes. Thank you.
